A proper diet is not only essential for a pregnant woman's body but also for the healthy growth and development of the unborn child. Additionally, a balanced-diet helps the would-be mother to develop the strength that is vital throughout their journey, especially during labor. Additionally, they must ensure to incorporate an iron-rich diet which will help prevent post-delivery anemia. Overeating and binge eating should be strongly discouraged as excessive weight gain can be counter-productive in labor.

2. Exercise Regularly

While exercising will not only help build stamina, it will also help an individual to get through the labor pain. Pregnant women should remain active and working women with a sedentary lifestyle should ensure they indulge in some kind of physical activity. Pregnancy yoga and Lamaze classes can help pregnant women cope up with labor better.

3. Watch Out For False Alarm

It is a common tendency for women to experience a false alarm regarding their labor, which makes them visit the hospital. In such cases, it is advisable to consult a medical professional and act accordingly. The health care provider can by examining distinguish between false and true labour.

The delivery date given by the doctor is a rough estimate and delivery can happen anytime after 37 weeks. The baby can even be delivered one week after the estimated date. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to go natural and allow the baby to choose its birthday.
