Several trains on South Eastern Railway route diverted
Kolkata: The South Eastern Railway on Friday diverted, terminated, cancelled and rescheduled a number of trains in the wake of the derailment of the Tata-Bilaspur passenger train between Posoita and Manoharpur on Thursday night.

SER sources said here on Friday that the Azad Hind Express, Porbandar-Howrah Express and Mumbai Howrah Mail via Nagpur will be diverted in the Rourkela-Hatia-Muri-Kotshila-Purulia-Chandil-Tata route.

The Samarsata Express via Adra will be diverted via Rourkela-Hatia-Muri-Kotshila-Bokaro-Adra-Khargpur, while the Kurla Express will be diverted in the Chakradharpur-Chandil-Purulia-Kotshila-Muri-Hatia-Rourkela route.

The Howrah-Mumbai Mail via Nagpur, Azad Hind Express, and Jnaneswari Express will run on the Tata-Chandil-Purulia-Kotshila-Muri-Hatia-Rourkela route, while South Bihar Express will be diverted via Asansol-Gomoh-Chandrapura-Bokaro-Muri-Rourkela route.

The Kurla Express, Geetanjali Express and Ahmedabad-Howrah Express will be diverted in the Rourkela-Hatia-Muri-Kotshila-Purulia-Chandil-Tata route, while Howrah-Ahmedabad Express and Howrah-Mumbai Duranta Express will be diverted via Tata-Chandil-Purulia-Kotshila-Muri-Hatia-Rourkela, the sources said.

The Koraput-Howrah Express will be short-terminated at Rourkela and will run from Rourkela to Koraput, while New Delhi-Bilaspur Rajdhani Express will run from Rourkela to Koraput.

The New Delhi-Bilaspur Rajdhani Express will be short-terminated at Rourkela.

The Howrah-Sambalpur-Titlagarh Ispat Express leaving Howrah and Titlagarh-Howrah Express leaving Titlagarh today will remain cancelled, they said.

The Howrah Ahmedabad Express, which was to leave Howrah at 11.55 PM on Thursday, left at 4.00 AM today, the sources added.
