Former Andhra Chief Minister's son Jaganmohan Reddy met Congress president Sonia Gandhi in Delhi on Thursday.
Reddy arrived in the capital on Wednesday for the first time after his father's death in a helicopter crash.
Jaganmohan is accompanied by Ramachandra Rao, his late father's close aide and the man behind the 'Jagan-for-CM' campaign.
His supporters, including state ministers, MPs and MLAs, have been carrying out a campaign to make him the chief minister though the Congress high command has not taken any decision on the issue.
Reddy's visit assumes significance in the wake of reports that the Congress might take a decision after the results of Maharashtra, Haryana and Arunachal Assembly elections.
