26/11 an act of terror, says Judge Tahilyani

A special court on Monday convicted Ajmal Kasab - the lone surviving terrorist from the 26/11 Mumbai attacks - holding him guilty of all 86 charges against him, including murdering 7 people, abetting the murder of 159, conspiracy and of waging war against the nation.

Kasab stood with his head bowed as Judge M L Tahilyani declared him guilty of the murder of 166 persons during the brazen terror onslaught.

Reading out the judgement, the judge said:
  • 26/11 an act of war
  • Kasab, others were prepared for war
  • Kamte killed by Kasab's friend Abu Ismail
  • Kasab trained, guided by LeT in Pak
  • Attackers told to fight to death
