1 Killed, 5 Injured in Grenade Attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag
Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir: A grenade attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag has killed one person and injured five.

The one person killed was an ice cream vendor.

The attack is the second in as many days. On Friday, terrorists threw grenades at two mobile phone shops and a telecom tower in Srinagar. One person was injured in the attacks.

Two attackers were caught on security cameras at the Aircel and Vodafone shops, but sources said their faces cannot be clearly seen.

More than 50 communications towers have been shut down in the Sopore area of Northern Kashmir in May alone. This had come after a string of attacks and threats by terrorists.

Officials have said that terrorists want to prevent people from sharing intelligence with security agencies involved in counter-insurgency efforts in the Kashmir Valley.
