A woman filed a complaint against her husband for live streaming their sexual acts on a porn site
A software engineer has been arrested by the Cyberabad Police for live streaming sexual acts and intimate moments with his wife, in exchange for money from a porn site.
The wife, also a software engineer, reportedly did not realize that the laptop placed in their bedroom was filming them, for almost six months before she was alerted by a friend and then complained to the police in November.
"It took six months for the police to zero in on the husband as the accused in the case, tracing the IP address, bank accounts, chat history and so on," Assistant Commissioner of Police (Cyber Crime Police Station) S Jayram said.
The wife did not suspect her husband as he would often watch films on the laptop. The husband however would switch on the webcam to film his wife.
The 33-year-old software engineer was traced using the IP address from where the video had originated. The couple lived at Chintal in Jeedimetla.
The man said he was hard pressed for money and therefore sold the video. He had earlier registered with multiple websites offering his services as a male escort. His wife had come to know of it and had warned him to refrain from such activities.
The video of the couple's intimate moments was uploaded by a person in Kerala on a porn website.
Last month, an NRI from Australia was booked for forcing his wife in Hyderabad to go naked before the camera. The man had shared his wife's video with his friends and contacts.
