Serum creatinine is an indirect marker of kidney function. High creatinine is a result of kidney dysfunction. There is no drug, which reduces serum creatinine. Improvement in kidney function will occur if the underlying kidney disease is treated & recovers. Recovery and prognosis depends on the specific disease affecting the kidney and one needs to know that disease.
