Highlights

  • While the day 1 of Bacardi NH7 Weekender’s Delhi chapter saw performances from sitarist Anoushka Shankar and rock bands Parikrama, Pentagram and Indus Creed, the second and final day of the musical extravaganza will be a treat for metal fans with headline act Megadeth, thrash metal pioneers, closing the festival. • In an interview to Hindustan Times, Megadeth drummer Shawn Drover said, “We will be playing songs from the new album that we’ve released, but we also play the classics and the songs our fans love.”
  • “We haven’t ever played in New Delhi before and whenever we travel to a new place, we like to go out and explore it a little. We’re very excited about going to New Delhi and playing a great concert," he added.
  • Megadeth is amongst the Big Four of thrash metal, which include Metallica, Slayer – also performing in India over the weekend - and Anthrax. They have 10 Grammy nominations and 13 studio albums to their credit.
  • Also playing at the Bacardi NH7 Weekender today are Pakistani singer Shafqat Amanat Ali and Indian bands Indian Ocean, East India Company, Delhi Metal Project and Bhayanak Maut.
