Directed by Vikas Bahl, Queen is one of Kangana Ranaut's best films till date (can't forget the Tanu Weds Manu series) and her portrayal of Rani fetched Kangana the Best Actress National Award. In Queen, Kangana plays the role of Rani, whose fiance (played by Rajkummar Rao) calls-off the wedding on the final day. Rani then takes off to Paris, where she was meant to go with her husband for her honeymoon. The trip changes her completely as she discovers the person she really is.
The film is also being remade in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam apart from Telugu.
In the Tamil remake of the film, actress Kajal Aggarwal will play the role of the protagonist, which was originally played by Kangana in Queen.
The Telugu remake of Queen will be produced by Manu Kumaran and it is scheduled to go on the floors on October 25.
