New Delhi: Actress Tamannaah Bhatia, who is known for her role in S S Rajamouli directed - Baahubali series of films, will soon feature in the Telugu remake of Kangana Ranaut starrer Queen. Of her role in the yet-untitled film, Tamannaah says roles that put the spotlight on women empowerment, motivate her, reports news agency IANS. The 27-year-old actress spoke about Queen and told IANS: "Queen is an interesting film and I have always been motivated by roles that help alleviate women empowerment in some form. I am very excited to be helming the Telugu version and can't wait to start shooting next month. This is the first time I'm working with Neelakanta Reddy and I'm sure together we will create magic on the 70 mm screen."

Directed by Vikas Bahl, Queen is one of Kangana Ranaut's best films till date (can't forget the Tanu Weds Manu series) and her portrayal of Rani fetched Kangana the Best Actress National Award. In Queen, Kangana plays the role of Rani, whose fiance (played by Rajkummar Rao) calls-off the wedding on the final day. Rani then takes off to Paris, where she was meant to go with her husband for her honeymoon. The trip changes her completely as she discovers the person she really is.

The film is also being remade in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam apart from Telugu.

In the Tamil remake of the film, actress Kajal Aggarwal will play the role of the protagonist, which was originally played by Kangana in Queen.

Tamannaah Bhatia, who will feature in the Telugu remake, has featured in films like Devi, Jaguar and Tutak Tutak Tutiya. She also made a special appearance in Jai Lava Kusa's song titled Swing Zara.

The Telugu remake of Queen will be produced by Manu Kumaran and it is scheduled to go on the floors on October 25.
