Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj, Rangoon is a love story set against the backdrop of World War II. It also stars Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut, and is scheduled to take off in early 2016.
Meanwhile, the much anticipated film Shaandaar, which marked Shahid's first film after his marriage, bombed at the box office and has also failed to impress critics.
Directed by Vikas Bahl, Shaandaar also features Alia Bhatt, Sanah Kapur, Sushma Seth and Pankaj Kapur. It opened on October 22.
