Salman <i>Kick</i>s <i>3 Idiots</i>, Mints Rs 200 Crores in 11 Days

Salman’s Kick has beaten the box office record set by Aamir’s 3 Idiots

Superstar Salman Khan has taken the box office by a storm by collecting whopping Rs 200 Crore in 11 days, thereby breaking the record set by Aamir Khan's blockbuster 3 Idiots which reached the coveted mark in 70 days. The film has now registered itself as the fourth highest earning Bollywood film ever. The overall domestic record total of 3 Idiots 202.57 crores which was first shattered by Chennai Express followed by Krrish 3 and Dhoom 3 last year.
Kick is also the Salman Khan's highest grossing film in India so far, beating the previous record of Ek Tha Tiger which minted Rs 198.78 crores. (Also read Salman Khan Pets 'Tiger' )
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared Kick's collections on Twitter:

And the box office war doesn't just end at crossing the Rs 200 crores. The cutthroat competition also depends upon achieving the mark as soon as possible. While Aamir's 3 Idiots took as many as 70 days to mint Rs 200 crore in 2009, Shah Rukh Khan managed the same within 15 days. But superhero Krrish broke the record in just 10 days. Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan's Dhoom: 3 set a new record of becoming the fastest movie to mint Rs 200 crore in just under 10 days. Kick, which released on July 25, collected Rs 200 crore in 11 days, thereby becoming the first movie of 2014 to do so.
Well, Salman's unmatched feat this year continues as the numbers are still rolling at the box office.
