Saif’s sisters Soha and Saba were overseeing proceedings in Delhi. Soha’s boyfriend, actor Kunal Khemu, was the man-in-charge. Manish Malhotra said it was "fun being part of the beautiful wedding".

  • Saif’s mother Sharmila Tagore, in pale yellow silk and antique jewellery, spoke to the press outside their residence on Aurangzeb Road, where the reception is being held. She said: " Bless the couple and join in our happiness . The venue, the decor is not important. What I am wearing is not important, the marriage is. We are all very happy. There was no reception in Mumbai, just the marriage. We danced, we had a lot of fun. There is no celebration in Pataudi, not now at least. "We may have something later. Abhi sab thak gaye hain. Abhi daal-chawal ka time aa gaya hain. (Right now we are all very tired and want things to be simple.)"
  • Kareena’s reception outfit, an “old-world” pink gharara, was designed by Manish Malhotra. Saif was dressed in Raghavendra Rathore.
  • The reception was Mughal-themed with antique props used as décor. Cream curtains with jasmine and rajnigandha flowers added to the ambience with shehnai being played along with a band.
  • "We are decorating the entire place. The theme is off-white and gold with mogra flowers. We have a stage set up inside and it is all going to be in mughal style. We have used antique props, about 200 years old for the decoration," Tipsy Anand, from event management company Good Earth, told PTI.

  • The wedding took place at Saif's Bandra residence in the form of a registered marriage on Tuesday, after which the couple exchanged vows at the Taj Mahal hotel in the evening and hosted a post-wedding party attended by family, friends and who's who from Bollywood.
