Ananya Panday and Vijay Deverakonda have been busy with Liger promotions ever since the trailer dropped. On Friday, the on-screen couple rode the local Mumbai train for their publicity duty. Ananya shared a picture with Vijay laying on the blue seat and resting his head on her lap. In other images, the Khaali Peeli actress poses with one hand holding on to a hanging strap. In the caption, she wrote: "LIGER promotions are "on track" let's go boyzzzzzz." For the pictures, the actress opted for a bright yellow crop top and jeans while Vijay went casual in a graphic t-shirt and jeans.

Liger, directed by Puri Jagannadh, is backed by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The film features Vijay as a kickboxer with a speech impairment while Ananya is his love interest. Baahubali star Ramya Krishnan, who plays Vijay's mother, grabbed eyeballs for her performance in the trailer. Liger releases August 25.
Earlier today, Ananya and Vijay shared the poster of their second song from the film, titled Waat Laga Denge. The first song from the film, Akdi Pakdi, was well received by the audience.
Vijay recently made his Koffee With Karan 7debut and in the first go, won the Rapid Fire round. The actor shared the couch with his Liger co-star and answered what he thought about Ananya. He said, "She makes me laugh, she's really cute. I laugh a lot around her. She learns quickly. She did a really good job on Liger." He also said that since Ananya is a foodie, she isn't the ideal co-star to have around, especially if one is on a strict diet. "If you're on diet and you're playing a role like Liger where you need to be in shape, she's not the ideal co-star to have around. My breakfast was a black coffee and five egg whites. She'll be having a croissant and a pain au chocolat with her coffee," he added.
