- Rhea was on the receiving end of vile comments on social media
- "No one should be subjected to this kind of toxicity," said Rhea

Actress Rhea Chakraborty has ended a month of reticence with two explosive posts on social media. Ms Chakraborty, who is one of the several people Mumbai Police have spoken to in connection with actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death, addressed her second post to Home Minister Amit Shah asking for a CBI enquiry into Mr Rajput's death. "I am Sushant Singh Rajput's girlfriend," she wrote in her post. Rhea Chakraborty, 27, has been subject to hateful comments in the month since Sushant Singh Rajput's death, allegedly by suicide; in her other post, she shared the screenshot of one such message she received - a vile threat of rape and murder.
"Enough is enough," Rhea Chakraborty wrote in her post revealing that she's been called a "gold-digger" and slut-shamed by trolls. "How does my silence give you the right to tell me that you will get me RAPED and MURDERED if I don't commit suicide?" Ms Chakraborty wrote, "Do you realize the seriousness of what you have said? These are crimes, and by law no one, I repeat NO ONE should be subjected to this kind of toxicity and harassment." Rhea Chakraborty tagged two cyber crime cell accounts in her post - read it here.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai home on June 14; a police investigation is ongoing. The day after he died, Rhea Chakraborty was pictured at the hospital Mr Rajput was taken to. The couple were to have starred together in a rom-com, director Rumi Jaffery revealed later.
Rhea Chakraborty has featured in movies like Mere Dad Ki Maruti and Jalebi.
