New mom Alia Bhatt, who shared the first picture of her daughter on Thursday, revealed that she and husband Ranbir Kapoor have named their baby Raha. Alia Bhatt, in her caption, revealed that the name was picked by Ranbir Kapoor's mother Neetu Kapoor. "The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has so many beautiful meanings," Alia Bhatt wrote.. Explaining what the name Raha means in different languages, Alia Bhatt added, "Raha, in its purest form means divine path. In Swahili she is joy. In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan. In Bangla - rest, comfort, relief. In Arabic peace. It also means happiness, freedom and bliss." Alia signed off the post with these words: "And true to her name, from the first moment we held her - we felt it all. Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun."

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor welcomed their first child, a baby daughter on November 6. The actress announced the news of her daughter's arrival with this post and she wrote: "And in the best news of our lives:- Our baby is here...and what a magical girl she is. Alia Bhatt announced her pregnancy in an Instagram post in June this year. She married Brahmastra co-star Ranbir Kapoor in April this year at their house Vastu, in front of a few family members and close friends. The star couple had been dating for over 5 years before getting married. Their story began on the sets of Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra, their first film together.
