Adnan Sami Posts Beautiful Pictures Of Kashmir Valley Ahead Of Concert

New Delhi: Bollywood singer Adnan Sami, who is half Kashmiri, is all set to perform a musical concert on the banks of the Dal Lake in Kashmir on Sunday. Adnan Sami's Rhythm in Paradise concert will take place at the beautiful lawns of the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) in front of a huge audience. Mehmood Shah, Director of the state Tourism Department, told news agency IANS: "He will perform without charging anything for the over two-hour long concert organised jointly by the union Home Ministry and the Jammu and Kashmir government." The SKICC complex has been given a facelift to provide the right ambience. A de-weeding and preservation operation in the Dal Lake has been already started so that the dazzling lights of the concert fall on clean glistening waters, reports IANS.

Adnan Sami interacted with some local artists at the Taj Vivanta Hotel in Kashmir on Friday.

He discussed his music journey and shared his experiences with the local artists. "Language of art is a form of communication that transcends all differences created by humans as it reaches above hate to spread a message of peace and harmony," IANS quoted Adnan Sami as saying.

On his experiences of visiting the state, Adnan Sami said that the region hosted a rich culture which had art woven in its roots. "The mysticism and Sufism found in Kashmir will continue to inspire me and influence my music so that I can produce rich melodies," said Adnan Sami.

On Saturday, he tweeted and wrote: "I really enjoyed meeting the amazing local artists. It was delightful talking with them. Felt as if we knew each other from ages. The love."
 

Adnan Sami had visited the Kashmir Valley previously including for the shooting a Qawali sequence for Bollywood blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan titled Bhar Do Jholi Meri. About his current visit, he shared some pictures on Instagram and wrote: "I am in heaven on Earth. Kashmir, Srinagar, love, peace, brotherhood and music."

Adnan Sami is married to Roya Faryabi. The couple became parents to Baby Medina in May.

Recently, Adnan and his wife along with their daughter met PM Narendra Modi.

He is best-known for albums such as Tera Chehra and Kabhi Toh Nazar Milao. Adnan Sami, a Pakistani singer, got Indian citizenship in December 2015.
