The actor had confessed about taking up smoking again out of nervousness ahead of Dangal. He even claimed to have hidden in a store room on the premises of Yash Raj Studios: "I'm really nervous. Yesterday I had literally been hiding in the store room of Yash Raj Films so that no one could see me. I have been constantly thinking about Dangal and it's driving me crazy." This was almost a year ago and it seems that nothing has changed.
This is what he tweeted today:
The special screenings of Secret Superstar have already resulted in good reviews for the singing drama. In his review for NDTV, Saibal Chatterjee writes: "You may nitpick to your heart's content over the way Secret Superstar pans out, but this film will sure steal your heart. Okay, if the film as a whole doesn't, the magnificent Zaira Wasim certainly will. And if even she doesn't, just let your dil do the thinking." About Aamir, who plays the role of a Mumbai-based music producer, Mr Chatterjee writes: "Aamir plunges into Shakti Kumaarr - double 'a' and double 'r' in place in an obvious dig at the Mumbai movie industry's fetish for numerology - with unabashed glee."
Secret Superstar also stars actors Meher Vij and Raj Arjun and marks Zaira's second project with Aamir Khan after Dangal. Secret Superstar is written and helmed by Advait Chandan, whose debut movie as a director this is.
