A coach of a local train derailed at Park Town station in Chennai today.
The incident took place when the train, part of the city's Mass Rapid Transit System, was heading towards the Beach Station from Velacherry.
According to railway officials, no passenger has suffered any injury and the rail service was going to resume in a few hours.
"Officials are investigating the matter", said a senior officer.
