RBI's Rate Pause Is a Window for Wise Homebuying, Not FOMO: Nikhil Mawale

Nikhil Mawale - Co- Founder & CEO, PropertyDrone Realty

Keeping the repo rate at 5.25% with a neutral stance sounds sensible, but it doesn't really juice up housing demand when inventory is already high. People hunting for rental income will likely like the predictable EMIs, yet possible price appreciation still depends much more on project delivery and whether the location truly makes sense, not on the direction of interest rates. So my take is simple don't let the current situation create FOMO. Use the festive deals to push the negotiation, still be firm, but keep in mind that rates can only creep upward from here if global energy prices stay stubborn. Think of it as a window to buy wisely, not buy quickly. If you can, lock in fixed-rate loans now as a hedge against future uncertainty.

Indusface Introduces SwyftComply AI, Defining the Next Era of Application Security with Autonomous Vulnerability Remediation

As AI transforms vulnerability discovery from weeks to minutes, SwyftComply AI enables enterprises to protect applications just as quickly through autonomous virtual patching, expert validation and SLA-backed remediation.

Bengaluru, India, August 04, 2026 - Indusface, the leading application security company trusted by enterprises to protect thousands of applications and APIs globally, today announced SwyftComply AI, an autonomous vulnerability remediation solution that virtually patches vulnerabilities surfaced by AI-assisted pentesting.

Artificial Intelligence has fundamentally changed the economics of application security. AI-powered security agents now uncover exponentially more vulnerabilities than ever before. Yet remediation has not accelerated. Security teams are overwhelmed by findings while remediation remains constrained by engineering bandwidth. The cybersecurity industry has entered a new phase: the race has moved from finding vulnerabilities to protecting applications before they're exploited. Indusface believes the industry must move beyond AI-assisted testing toward Autonomous Vulnerability Remediation.

Repo Rate: Expert View

Pawan Sharma, Managing Director, TRG Group

Commercial real estate thrives in an environment where businesses have the confidence to plan ahead, expand operations, and invest for the long term. For developers like TRG Group, the RBI's decision to retain the repo rate at 5.25% reinforces confidence by providing a stable monetary framework for businesses and investors. A predictable interest rate environment supports retailer expansion, strengthens occupier sentiment, and encourages capital deployment across commercial assets. As urban infrastructure continues to improve and consumer spending remains resilient, destinations such as TRG The Mall are well-positioned to benefit from stronger leasing activity, higher footfalls, and sustained demand. We believe this policy stability will continue to create a favorable ecosystem for commercial developments while unlocking long-term value for businesses, investors, and consumers alike.

Ashok Nehlia, Founder & CEO, Nehlia Developers

Policy stability always plays an important role in strengthening long-term investment sentiment, and the RBI's decision to maintain the repo rate at 5.25% comes as a reassuring signal for the real estate sector. While the premium farmhouse segment is largely driven by lifestyle aspirations and long-term wealth creation, a stable interest rate environment further strengthens buyer confidence and investment planning. Today's consumers are increasingly looking beyond conventional housing, with growing interest in spacious, nature-centric developments that offer privacy, wellness, and an enhanced quality of life. As connectivity improves and infrastructure expands across emerging destinations, premium farmhouse communities are becoming an attractive investment proposition. We believe that stable monetary policy, coupled with sustained economic growth, will continue to support demand for high-quality lifestyle developments and encourage long-term investments in this evolving segment.

Abhishek Raj, Promoter, Jenika Ventures

For a sector that depends on long-term planning and sustained investment, continuity in monetary policy is as valuable as lower borrowing costs. The RBI's decision to keep the repo rate unchanged at 5.25% provides much-needed certainty for developers, homebuyers, and investors alike. Residential demand continues to be supported by urbanization, rising household incomes, and improving infrastructure, while the commercial segment is benefiting from business expansion and increasing occupier activity. This balanced policy approach creates a conducive environment for sustained growth across both asset classes. We believe that long-term value creation in real estate will increasingly be driven by strong fundamentals, transparent market practices, and infrastructure-led development, with policy stability acting as a key enabler for continued investment across residential and commercial markets.

RBI Repo Rate: Expert View

Dnyanada Vaidya, Research Analyst - BFSI, Axis Direct

The RBI's decision to maintain the repo rate while keeping its neutral stance was largely anticipated as inflationary pressures eased slightly and growth remained resilient. While oil prices have corrected, monsoon-related challenges remain a key risk for the inflation and are keenly eyed. The regulator has revised its inflation estimates marginally lower by to 5% vs 5.1% earlier, with core inflation revised downwards to 4.3% vs 4.7% earlier. Concurrently, growth estimates have been revised marginally higher to 6.7% for FY27 vs 6.6% earlier.

From a banking perspective, banks fared well in a seasonally weak Q1 with credit growth remaining strong and earnings remaining resilient supported by well contained credit costs and modest opex growth despite margin headwinds visible across most banks. Asset quality metrics holding up was the key positive during the quarter and improvement in was visible across most lenders led by controlled slippages. Another highlight has been the strong FCNR(B) deposit mobilisation seen so far, which should support deposit growth in Q2. We expect margins to remain largely range-bound in the near-term and any improvement will be largely led by a favourable portfolio mix shift. We continue to favour banks with strong earnings growth visibility, healthy balance sheets and attractive valuations. Our preferred picks among banks are Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI Bank, SBI, Federal Bank and Ujjivan SFB, while we prefer Bajaj Finance, Shriram Finance and CreditAccess Grameen among NBFCs.

RBI Repo Rate: Expert View

Sahil Agarwal, CEO, Nimbus Group: "The RBI's decision to keep the repo rate unchanged reflects a calibrated approach in an environment where global risks, particularly elevated energy prices and geopolitical uncertainty, continue to pose inflationary challenges. For the real estate sector, policy predictability is often as valuable as monetary easing. Stable borrowing costs provide developers with greater visibility on project financing and execution, while enabling homebuyers to make long-term purchase decisions with increased confidence. Coupled with India's resilient growth outlook and sustained infrastructure investment, the decision should help preserve the positive momentum in residential demand without compromising macroeconomic stability. The emphasis on continuity also gives businesses confidence to plan investments while leaving the central bank with adequate room to respond should external conditions evolve."

RBI Repo Rate: Expert View

Shekhar Patel, President, CREDAI, said, "The RBI's decision to maintain the repo rate at 5.25% provides much-needed stability and reassurance for the real estate sector. Given the prevailing global uncertainties, maintaining the status quo sends a positive signal of confidence and policy continuity. Real estate is a long-gestation sector, and homebuyers make long-term financial commitments. A stable interest-rate environment enables both developers and buyers to plan with greater certainty. The RBI's upward revision of India's GDP growth projection to 6.7% underscores the resilience of the Indian economy despite external headwinds. Sustained economic growth, employment generation and continued infrastructure development remain the strongest drivers of housing demand. Despite supply-side disruptions in recent months due to the situation in West Asia, the housing market has continued to demonstrate remarkable resilience, reflecting strong underlying demand. Stable borrowing costs further support this momentum by providing financing certainty and facilitating timely project execution. Going forward, continued investment in infrastructure, coupled with stronger policy support for affordable housing, will further strengthen the sector's long-term growth trajectory. Policy stability instils confidence across the housing ecosystem and is particularly significant for an industry where investment and homeownership decisions are made with a long-term perspective."

Yash Miglani, Managing Director, Migsun Group, "The RBI decision to keep the repo rate unchanged at 5.25% sends a reassuring signal to the housing sector at a time when end-user demand continues to remain healthy. Stable lending conditions encourage homebuyers to move ahead with greater financial clarity, while developers gain better visibility for project planning and future launches. Supported by strong infrastructure development across NCR, the market is well placed to sustain steady residential growth over the coming quarters."

RBI Repo Rate: Expert View

Yateesh Wahaal, Director, M3M India, said, "The RBI's decision to keep the repo rate unchanged at 5.25% provides much-needed stability to the real estate sector, particularly amid an evolving global economic landscape. The move is expected to support buyer confidence by ensuring greater predictability in home loan interest rates, thereby sustaining end-user demand. A stable interest rate environment also enables developers to plan investments and project execution with greater certainty. As the housing market continues to witness healthy demand, this policy continuity will help maintain positive market sentiment and support the sector's steady growth trajectory."

Ashish Sharma, AVP Operations - Brahma Group, "The RBI's decision to maintain the repo rate at 5.25 per cent reflects a balanced approach towards supporting economic growth while ensuring macroeconomic stability amid the current global uncertainties. For the real estate sector, this move provides much-needed certainty and reinforces confidence among both homebuyers and developers. Stable interest rates enhance affordability and encourage buyers to move forward with their purchase decisions, while enabling developers to plan investments, launch new projects, and execute ongoing developments with greater confidence. Overall, the decision is expected to sustain positive market sentiment, support housing demand, and strengthen the sector's growth momentum in the months ahead."

RBI Repo Rate: Expert View

Anshuman Magazine, Chairman & CEO - India, SE Asia, Middle East & Africa, CBRE

"Predictable borrowing costs provide homebuyers the confidence to move ahead with long-deferred purchase decisions, while developers benefit from a stable financing environment that enables them to plan launches and investments with greater certainty. In that context, the RBI's decision to hold the repo rate at 5.25% for a fourth straight time reflects a calibrated approach at a time when rising crude prices, food inflation and continued geopolitical uncertainty continue to demand prudence over policy activism. For real estate, rate stability is a positive signal heading into the festive season, which is typically the strongest period for housing demand in India. We expect this continuity to support healthy residential sales momentum through the second half of 2026, particularly in the mid and premium segments where affordability is closely tied to interest rate sentiment.

Our commercial real estate fundamentals remain strong. Office demand is robust, warehousing and data centres continue to attract capital, and residential markets in key cities have sustained their momentum. The MPC still has a balancing act ahead; it must protect growth while staying watchful of inflation, which it says is likely to peak in the October-December quarter. Yet India's underlying strengths-a strong investment pipeline and resilient domestic demand-give us reason for confidence heading into the second half of the year."

Suraj Mehta, Chief Strategy Officer, Hindusthan National Glass & Industries Limited

"The RBI holding rates steady comes at a good time for the container glass industry. Demand from FMCG, beverages and liquor typically picks up sharply as the festive season approaches, and a stable interest rate environment gives our customers the confidence to plan inventories and launches without worrying about their borrowing costs going up. We expect that to translate into healthy order flows for glass packaging through the second half of the year.

For manufacturers, fuel remains the bigger concern, with LPG availability still affected by the situation in West Asia. The RBI cannot fix supply-side energy pressures, but this fourth consecutive pause gives us policy stability at a time when geopolitical uncertainty is already weighing on input costs. For an energy-intensive industry like ours, a predictable rate environment makes it easier to plan capacity expansion, technology upgrades and long-term capital allocation, and lets us focus on operational efficiency and sustainable investment rather than second-guessing the cost of capital."

RBI Repo Rate: Expert View

Loveena Kansal, EVP - Business Head, MegaCorp

The decision to hold the repo rate at 5.25% reflects the RBI's preference for stability and policy flexibility at a time when domestic growth remains resilient, even as global risks remain fluid. For the BFSI sector, the conversation is increasingly shifting from 'how much further can rates fall?' to 'how effectively can stable funding costs translate into broader and more meaningful credit access?'

The opportunity now is to deepen responsible credit penetration across MSMEs, salaried and underserved segments while maintaining underwriting discipline. Stable rates, supported by improving digital infrastructure and data-led lending, can help drive the next phase of India's credit growth-making it more inclusive, efficient and sustainable.

RBI Repo Rate: Expert View

Parveen Jain, President, NAREDCO

"We welcome RBI's decision to keep the repo rate unchanged at 5.25%. At this juncture, when worldwide situation is highly volatile, we appreciate this decision of RBI and hope that this will give positive vibes to the realty sector. Stability in interest rate will have positive impact on home buyers as well as developers and will maintain the momentum in demand for housing. This decision will also give fillip to construction activity, MSMEs, building material industries and lakhs of workers associated with it. The decision to keep the repo rate unchanged will also have positive impact on festive season sales of under-construction properties.

RBI Repo Rate: Expert View

Pyush Lohia, Managing Director, Lohia Worldspace

"The RBI's decision to maintain the repo rate at 5.25% and retain a neutral policy stance reflects a balanced approach towards supporting economic growth while remaining vigilant on inflation. While inflationary pressures, particularly from food and fuel, continue to warrant caution, the central bank's confidence that inflation will moderate after the third quarter provides reassurance to both developers and homebuyers.

For the real estate sector, the status quo on interest rates is a positive outcome. Stable borrowing costs help sustain homebuyer sentiment, especially in the mid-income and premium housing segments, while also enabling developers to plan investments and project execution with greater certainty. As urbanisation, infrastructure development, and end-user demand continue to drive the housing market, a stable monetary environment will support long-term growth and encourage continued investment across key real estate markets."

RBI Keeps Repo Rate Steady At 5.25% Amid US-Iran War

RBI's Repo Rate Policy: Domestic economic activity has shown resilience amidst geopolitical uncertainty, said RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra. Read full report here

RBI Repo Rate: Expert View

Adhil Shetty, CEO, Bankbazaar

"The RBI's decision to keep the repo rate unchanged at 5.25% while retaining the neutral stance suggests that inflation remains the MPC's primary focus for now. Although economic activity continues to show resilience, the Committee appears to be seeking greater confidence that inflation will remain under control before considering any further policy action. The recent uptick in inflation has been driven largely by food and fuel prices rather than broad-based demand pressures. At the same time, geopolitical uncertainties and volatility in global energy prices continue to cloud the outlook. While underlying inflation remains relatively benign, the RBI is likely to watch incoming data closely over the next few months.

For households, this means little immediate change. Existing borrowers are unlikely to see any change in EMIs in the near term, while deposit rates are likely to remain broadly stable. For now, inflation is likely to remain a more immediate consideration for household finances than expectations of lower borrowing costs."

Crypto Update By Avinash Shekhar

Avinash Shekhar, Co-Founder & CEO, Pi42

"Bitcoin is once again at an interesting inflection point. Trading around $64,000, the world's largest cryptocurrency is holding above a key support zone while gradually building momentum for its next move. Ethereum continues to consolidate as market participants await a stronger directional trigger, while XRP has managed to stabilize after recent volatility, indicating that capital is rotating selectively across the crypto market rather than chasing broad-based rallies. The current phase reflects a market that is digesting recent gains while preparing for its next decisive move.

Markets rarely move in a straight line, and the current phase is a reminder that consolidation is an essential part of every long-term trend. Rather than viewing subdued price action as inactivity, investors should use this period to reassess portfolios, accumulate fundamentally strong assets systematically, and remain aligned with long-term conviction. The biggest advantage in such environments comes from consistency and discipline, not from attempting to time every market move."

Commodities Update By Akshat Siddhant

Akshat Siddhant, Lead quant analyst, Mudrex

Crude oil has fallen for a third straight session to around $75 a barrel, its lowest level in three weeks, as optimism grows over a possible agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Unlike recent sessions, precious metals are also advancing, with gold climbing to around $4,100 an ounce and silver surging more than 3% to a three-week high near $59.80. Easing geopolitical tensions have lowered market expectations of a September Federal Reserve rate hike to 57% from 67% just two days ago, supporting precious metals. Additional buying from Chinese gold-backed ETFs is reinforcing gold's rally, with a sustained move above $4,100 potentially opening the way toward $4,200.

Market Analysis By Vikram Subburaj

Vikram Subburaj, CEO, Giottus.com

Bitcoin traded near $64,260 on Wednesday, gaining about 0.7% over 24 hours, as lower oil prices, falling US Treasury yields and stronger global equities improved risk appetite. However, weak spot demand and cautious derivatives positioning continue to limit the strength of the recovery. Immediate support lies around $63,400-$63,000, followed by $62,000. Resistance is visible near $64,500, with the stronger $65,000-$66,000 region remaining the next hurdle.

On-chain conditions remain mixed. Daily active addresses and transfer volumes have risen above their recent averages, indicating stronger network engagement. Long-term holders also remain resilient, with the ratio of short-term to long-term supply close to historical lows. However, spot turnover remains subdued, net selling pressure persists and options traders continue to seek downside protection. The increase in blockchain activity has therefore not yet translated into broad investor accumulation.

Institutional demand improved at the beginning of August. US spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $170.1 million on August 3, following the $265.4 million withdrawal recorded on July 31. August 4 showed a preliminary inflow of $41.2 million. Several completed positive sessions would still be required to establish a durable institutional trend.

Large-cap altcoins were moderately higher. Ethereum gained 0.5% to $1,873, BNB rose 2% to $603, XRP advanced 0.4% to $1.07, Solana added about 0.4% to $73.89 and TRON increased 0.6% to $0.327. BNB led the group, but the limited gains elsewhere indicate selective participation rather than a broad altcoin rally.

The macro backdrop has become slightly more supportive. Brent crude declined to about $79, while the US 10-year Treasury yield eased towards 4.62%. Markets reduced the probability of a September Federal Reserve rate increase to roughly 57%. US job openings fell to 7.36 million in June, but stronger hiring and low layoffs indicate that the labour market remains stable. Friday's employment report is the next major catalyst.

Our advice: Investors should avoid chasing the current move. Staggered accumulation, limited leverage and disciplined position sizing remain preferable until Bitcoin clears $64,500-$66,000 with sustained ETF and spot-market demand.

Crypto Update By Nischal Shetty

Nischal Shetty, Founder, WazirX

"Crypto sentiment improved as hopes of easing US-Iran tensions pushed oil prices down over 4% and supported global risk assets. The Nasdaq gained nearly 1.6%, while falling bond yields improved the backdrop for crypto.

Wintermute's H1 2026 OTC report shows institutions accounted for a record 72% of spot trading volume. While capital has become increasingly concentrated in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and a limited set of DeFi assets, the volatility across these assets have also reduced as a result of institutional accumulation. Retail participation remains fragmented across smaller tokens. As a result, altcoin rallies are likely to become shorter-lived and more selective than in previous cycles.

Bitcoin is trading near $64,176, benefiting from easing US-Iran tensions, lower oil prices, and renewed risk appetite as the S&P 500 reached a record $70 trillion market capitalization. On-chain data showing 155,000 BTC accumulated between $62,000 and $65,000 suggests continued absorption by long-term investors.

Bitcoin continues to hold above key short-term support after recovering over the past 24 hours. A sustained move above $64,800-$65,000 could trigger fresh long positions. However, failure to hold $63,900-$64,000 may encourage profit-taking and increase the probability of a pullback toward $63,200. Futures traders should closely monitor open interest and funding rates.

Ethereum has recovered modestly over the past day but remains down on the week, suggesting buyers are still regaining momentum. A decisive break above $1,900 would strengthen the bullish case and could lead to a test of $1,930-$1,950. On the downside, losing $1,850 may increase selling pressure toward $1,820."

Crypto Update By Riya Sehgal

Riya Sehgal, Research Analyst, Delta Exchange

Crypto markets are showing signs of stabilization, with Bitcoin reclaiming the $64,000 zone after defending the $62,200-62,400 demand area, while Ethereum has also recovered but continues to lag. The current move appears to be driven more by improving global macro conditions than by a major crypto-specific catalyst. Softer U.S. Treasury yields, a weaker dollar and renewed strength in U.S. equities have improved overall risk appetite, while the absence of a major ETF, regulatory or blockchain-related trigger suggests the recovery is still externally led. Technically, Bitcoin needs a sustained break above $64,500 to target the $65,000-65,600 supply zone, while Ethereum must reclaim $1,880 to confirm a broader breakout.

Gold has strengthened alongside crypto as lower yields and a softer dollar improved demand for non-yielding assets. A sustained hold above the $4,080 breakout zone would keep the upside structure intact, with $4,120-4,150 as the next major resistance band.

In U.S. markets, record highs in the S&P 500 and Nasdaq continue to support sentiment, although earnings season is showing that investors now care more about forward cash flows than headline beats. SpaceX delivered stronger-than-expected revenue and earnings, but the stock reversed lower as attention shifted to elevated AI spending, continued losses and the upcoming insider lock-up expiry. AMD saw a similar reaction. The next major cross-asset catalysts are U.S. ADP employment data and ISM Services PMI.

Stock Market Today: Expert View By InvestorAi

The Thesis

Brent crude's 5% slide on Strait of Hormuz diplomacy directly compresses India's fuel costs and lifts consumer sentiment into the auto-and-lending complex. Wall Street closed at records - S&P 500 +1.79%, Nasdaq +2.59% - on the same tailwind overnight. With the RBI holding at 5.25%, domestic credit stays accommodative: consumption and the capital cycle align around lower energy.

Where We're Concentrated

Conviction is concentrated in the Indian auto value chain - passenger vehicles (M&M, Hyundai), commercial vehicles (Ashok Leyland), and the NBFCs funding them (Shriram Finance, Bajaj Finserv). Lower Brent connects all five: vehicle economics, freight margins, and household incomes improve in one move. The thesis breaks on crude reversing above $82.

Conviction Picks

Highest Conviction

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.

Brent's retreat fuels consumer confidence; India's top-selling UV maker positioned for demand reacceleration.

Shriram Finance Ltd.

Commercial vehicle credit inflects as fuel costs normalize; rate-hold at 5.25% underpins NBFC margin stability.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd.

Passenger car affordability improves as fuel costs ease; domestic order momentum builds on the crude tailwind.

Bajaj Finserv Ltd.

Lower crude eases household budgets, expanding the addressable base for consumer insurance and retail lending.

Ashok Leyland Ltd.

Fuel relief improves freight economics; CV order momentum is building as domestic infrastructure spending accelerates.

One Thing to Watch

Brent reclaiming $82. A sustained move above $82 reverses the fuel-cost tailwind and undercuts the auto and CV-lending thesis simultaneously. Also watch whether Oman-mediated Strait of Hormuz talks produce a concrete reopening timeline - a breakdown risks crude snapping back sharply.

Stock Market News: Expert View

Gaurav Udani, Founder - Thincredblu Securities

"Nifty Futures is expected to open sharply higher around 24,750, up nearly 200 points, while the Nifty Cash index is likely to open around 24,670, reflecting strong positive global cues and improving market sentiment.

The sharp gap-up indicates that bullish momentum remains intact. 24,550 will act as the immediate support for Nifty Futures, while 24,900 is the key resistance level. A sustained move above 24,900 could trigger fresh buying and pave the way for the next leg of the rally.

The overall market structure continues to remain positive, with improving sentiment and strong participation from the broader market.

Traders should avoid chasing the gap-up opening and instead look to buy on dips near key support levels. As long as Nifty Futures holds above 24,550, the short-term trend remains firmly bullish."

Stock Market Today: Expert View

Rajesh Palviya, Head of Research, Axis Direct

The Nifty 50 ended Tuesday at 24,614.90, declining 159.40 points or 0.64% after a strong four-session rally, as investors opted for profit booking ahead of the RBI policy announcement amid heightened geopolitical concerns and elevated crude oil prices. However, the broader market structure remains constructive, supported by resilient domestic fundamentals and improving global risk sentiment.

Global cues have turned favourable overnight. Wall Street witnessed a strong rebound, with the Dow Jones soaring 907.47 points, the S&P 500 advancing 1.79%, and the Nasdaq Composite rallying 2.59%, as easing concerns over the Strait of Hormuz boosted investor confidence and reignited buying in technology stocks.

Asian markets are mixed, with Shanghai trading higher and the Nikkei marginally positive, while the Hang Seng remains under mild pressure.

A key positive for Indian equities is the sharp correction in Brent crude, which has slipped nearly 6% to around $79 per barrel. Lower crude prices are expected to ease inflationary pressures, improve India's macro outlook, and provide support to the rupee. Meanwhile, GIFT Nifty at 24,737.5 indicates a firm start, pointing to an opening gain of nearly 150 points.

The near-term outlook continues to favour the bulls. A sustained move above 24,700 could pave the way for a retest of the 25,000 milestone, while 24,400 is expected to act as immediate support, followed by 24,200. Although the RBI policy announcement remains the key event for the day, supportive global markets, easing crude prices, and improving risk appetite are likely to keep the underlying market sentiment positive.

Crypto Update By CoinSwitch Markets Desk

"BTC remained near $64K, showing little reaction even as global risk assets rallied sharply on hopes of a US-Iran agreement and the possible reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Falling oil prices pushed Treasury yields lower and reduced expectations of a September Fed rate hike, supporting a strong recovery in US equities. The Nasdaq gained nearly 3%, while the S&P 500 returned to record territory, led by a rebound in AI infrastructure stocks. BTC Holding above $64K would keep the short-term structure positive and could support another attempt at $64,400. If Bitcoin falls below $64K, the next important support levels are around $63,600."

Crypto Update By Mudrex

Akshat Siddhant, Lead quant analyst, Mudrex

Bitcoin has regained momentum, trading above $64,000 as easing geopolitical tensions improve sentiment across risk assets. Optimism over the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz has pushed oil prices down nearly 5%, reducing inflation concerns and lowering the probability of a September rate hike to around 57-59%, from nearly 67%. Meanwhile, Bitcoin futures open interest declined to 740,000 BTC from a July 3 peak of 776,000 BTC. A similar pattern to April, when a full Hormuz reopening triggered $762 million in liquidations, mostly on the short side, suggests another short squeeze. For now, $65,000 continues to act as the major resistance zone while support stands at $62,800.
