Bitcoin's move back toward $80,000 is increasingly looking like a test of conviction rather than a straightforward breakout. The broader structure remains constructive, with BTC holding above its 4-hour moving average and defending the $79,000 area. However, repeated rejection between $81,000 and $82,400 shows that overhead supply remains significant.
The institutional picture is supportive but deserves nuance. Spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted more than $232 million on August 26, extending a strong run of inflows, while Ethereum ETFs drew nearly $192 million. The following session's Bitcoin ETF flow turned modestly negative, highlighting that institutional demand is improving but not yet a one-way trend.
Ethereum is also holding above its near-term trend support around $2,480, but needs to clear the $2,520-$2,560 region to establish stronger upside momentum. For now, the bias remains cautiously bullish: a sustained move above $82,400 could open the door to further gains, while losing $79,000 would weaken the near-term structure and increase the probability of a deeper pullback.

Stock Market Today: Expert View

"Nifty is expected to open slightly lower around 24,100, down nearly 20 points, indicating a cautious start.

The index is now sitting close to an important support zone. 24,000-24,100 will be crucial to hold; a sustained break below 24,000 could increase selling pressure and lead to further downside.

On the upside, 24,300-24,400 remains the immediate resistance range. A decisive move above this zone could bring fresh buying interest and improve the short-term outlook.

With the market continuing to remain volatile and sensitive to global cues, traders should avoid aggressive positions at the open and wait for confirmation around key levels.

For now, 24,000 remains the key level to watch, with a cautious, level-based approach advisable."

Healthcare emerges as second-largest sector for private credit deployment in H1 2026: EY Report

Domestic funds emerged as the dominant force in India's private credit market in H1 2026, accounting for 74% of total deal value and nearly 79% of deal volume, according to the EY Private Credit Report H1 2026. The market remained resilient during the period, with investments reaching US$3.5 billion across more than 100 transactions above US$10 million, broadly in line with US$3.4 billion recorded in H2 2025. Private credit activity continued to be supported by refinancing, holding company (HoldCo) funding and acquisition financing, despite global macroeconomic uncertainty and market volatility.

As per the EY report, healthcare emerged as the second-largest sector for private credit investments in India by deployment, accounting for 13% of total deal value in H1 2026, second only to real estate. The sector's strong showing reflects growing investor confidence in healthcare businesses that offer stable cash flows, defensive characteristics and scalable growth opportunities.

"Bitcoin maintains market leadership with 59.8% dominance, while Ethereum accounts for 11.2% and other assets 29%.Implied volatility is higher for Ethereum at 59.43, compared with Bitcoin's 43.24, suggesting greater expected ETH price swings ahead.

US markets reflected a risk-on mood, led by a 1.57% rise in the Nasdaq and a 0.72% gain in the S&P 500, while the Dow advanced a modest 0.20%, indicating stronger demand for technology and growth stocks.

Crypto often benefits when technology stocks rise, volatility declines and investors become more willing to hold higher-risk assets. Bitcoin could receive the first lift, while ETH and major altcoins may outperform if the risk-on mood persists.

Asian markets present a mixed-to-cautious signal for crypto. Japan's Nikkei rose 0.83% and Singapore gained 0.20%, but Hong Kong slipped 0.24%. This suggests that the positive sentiment from US markets has not spread evenly across Asia. Bitcoin may remain relatively resilient, but weaker regional risk appetite could limit momentum in altcoins unless US market strength continues.

BTC's technical outlook remains broadly bullish, with 13 of 15 moving-average indicators showing "Buy". Immediate support is clustered around $76,621 - $77,257, followed by $72,073 - $72,812 and the Ichimoku base near $71,835. Stronger downside support appears between $66,202 and $70,668. The Hull Moving Average indicates resistance around $80,555. A sustained breakout above this level could extend bullish momentum.

Markets are awaiting Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's Jackson Hole address for clarity on interest rates, inflation and liquidity. US inflation remains above target, while GDP growth has slowed, creating a difficult policy balance. A hawkish message could lift Treasury yields and the dollar, creating pressure on equities and crypto. A balanced or dovish tone acknowledging softer employment and tighter financial conditions could improve risk appetite and support Bitcoin and other risk on assets."

Crypto Update By CoinSwitch Markets Desk

"BTC is nearing a key $80K-$82K resistance zone, where almost 8% of BTC's supply was previously acquired. Around 5% of total supply sits near $80K alone, meaning some investors may sell as BTC returns to their entry price, creating additional resistance. Technically, the 50-week moving average near $81,081 is another important level. BTC has traded below it since November 2025, while previous recoveries above this trend line were followed by sustained bullish moves."

Crypto Update By Prateek Gupta

Prateek Gupta, Head of Business, Mudrex

"Bitcoin is holding above the $80,000 level after briefly breaking the $81,000 mark. Nvidia's latest quarterly results supported a risk-on sentiment while institutional demand continued to sustain the Bitcoin rally. Spot Bitcoin ETFs logged an eighth straight day of net inflows, bringing the eight-day total to $2.8 billion. While US PCE inflation rose to 3.7% in July, the focus turns to the US Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's first Jackson Hole keynote, scheduled for later today. A dovish signal, indicating comfort with the US Treasury's bond buyback programme and inflation trajectory, could push Bitcoin above $81,000 while a hawkish surprise from Warsh could send prices down to $75,000."
