Yokohama India has announced the launch of the BluEarth-GT MAX tyre range in India. The new product is described as an evolution of the BluEarth-GT series by the brand and is claimed to deliver up to 30 percent higher mileage than the previous model. According to the brand, the BluEarth-GT MAX is available in sizes ranging from 14 to 19 inches and includes coverage under Yokohama's Lifetime Protection Programme.

The company claims the product addresses three key concerns: tyre longevity, cabin noise, and comfort, while providing higher mileage, which is expected to result in lower overall ownership costs. Technical updates to the tyre include an asymmetric tread pattern with differentiated features on the inner and outer sides. The inner reinforced shoulder is intended to improve ride comfort, while the wider rib structure on the outer side aims to increase stability during cornering.

Additional features include blade-cut sipes, which are designed to maintain uniform ground contact pressure and enhance traction and stability. The lightning-pattern grooves are created to increase edge volume and aim to improve grip, particularly by evacuating water efficiently to maintain stability in wet and dry conditions.

Yokohama India operates manufacturing facilities in Haryana and Vizag and distributes tyres through a network of around 3,000 retail locations. The company reiterates its focus on providing solutions for passenger cars and SUVs, leveraging more than a century of global tyre manufacturing expertise.
