Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle launched the Sierra in the Indian market in November. Recently, the brand initiated the bookings for the SUV, and on the first day, they received 70,000 bookings. The automaker has also announced that it has an additional 1.35 lakh customers submitting their preferred configuration as they progress to complete booking formalities for the SUV. It is worth noting that the SUV is sold at a starting price of Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Tata Sierra's design features a boxy shape, taking inspiration from its predecessor while incorporating a range of modern elements. This SUV boasts an upright posture with numerous gloss-black details that connect the LED headlights and daytime running lights to the brand logo and the "Sierra" insignia. Additionally, it is enhanced by a skid plate and dual fog lights elegantly integrated into the front bumper.

Inside, the Tata Sierra showcases a luxurious interior emphasized by three dashboard screens: one for the driver and two for infotainment, facilitating seamless content sharing. It also maintains the four-spoke steering wheel found in the Tata Curvv, which features an illuminated Tata emblem and touch-sensitive controls.

It also gets a 12-speaker JBL audio system, the segment's first SonicShaft soundbar, dual-zone climate control, the largest panoramic sunroof available in India, a wireless charging dock, rear sunshades, and ventilated, powered front seats, among other amenities. For added comfort, the Sierra is equipped with soft-touch materials throughout its interior and a floating armrest that contributes a contemporary and upscale feel.

Regarding safety, the Tata Sierra comes with a Level 2 ADAS suite that includes an electronic parking brake, a 360-degree camera, dual blind-spot monitoring, and an electronic stability program (ESP) offering 21 functions, among other features. Furthermore, it is equipped with vital safety elements such as six airbags, seatbelt anchor pretensioners, Isofix child safety tethers, and 3-point ELR seat belts for all occupants, among other protective measures.

The petrol variant of the Sierra is powered by Tata's new 1.5-litre 4-cylinder direct-injection turbocharged engine, which delivers 160 hp and 255 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission from AISIN. There is also a naturally aspirated version producing 106 hp and 145 Nm of torque (which employs an Atkinson cycle for better efficiency), available with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The diesel variant of the Sierra utilizes the well-known 1.5-litre engine that produces 118 hp, providing options for both 6-speed manual (260 Nm) and 6-speed automatic (280 Nm) transmissions.
