Suzuki's Show Cars Are Wild: Meet Jimny Monster Hunter and Swift Race Version

Suzuki is preparing for the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon to be held from January 9 to 11, with the theme "Life with Adventure" at the center of the event. The brand has prepared a total of nine vehicles, consisting of five concepts for the show, with a focus on rugged designs and upgrades aimed at improving utility. This includes some models that we have seen in the Indian market, including the Jimny and Swift. Apart from that, the brand also has XBee, Every Wagon, and Super Carry. There will also be two-wheelers like GSX-8TT and DR-Z4S.

Suzuki Jimny Nomade Monster Hunter Wilds Edition

The Maruti Suzuki Jimny five-door is sold in the Japanese market as Jimny Nomade. The special Monster Hunter Wilds edition version is the result of a collaboration with Capcom. This has been created for the Monster Hunter Wilds game. Apart from this, the collaboration also resulted in the DR-Z4S motorcycle with the Monster Hunter gear.

The special edition vehicle is the answer to the question, "What if Suzuki existed in the world of Monster Hunter?" The automaker further claims, "the Jimny Nomade is a playful model designed to spark the spirit of adventure and challenge unknown fields."

Differentiating it from the standard version of the SUV is a bold costume wrap with graphics inspired by the game, with multiple shades. To go with the aesthetic upgrade, the automaker has added a roof rack, which also adds to the functionality of the off-road capable SUV. Additionally, there is a new set of wheels with slight changes in the bumper.

Suzuki Swift Sport Super Taikyu Race Version

The Swift Sport Super Taikyu Race Specification is derived from the previous generation of the Swift. As the latest Swift has yet to produce a Sport variant. The word "Taikyu" in the name of the vehicle is Japanese for endurance. It recently participated in the 2025 Eneos Super Taikyu Series, equipped with complete racing specifications tailored for extended track performance.

This iteration of the vehicle gets different specs from the road-going model. For instance, the road-going version has a 1.2-litre engine, but this one seeks power from a 1.4-litre turbo engine. The unit has been tuned for Super Taikyu regulations. To help it perform its duty, the brand has given it full racing safety gear. All in all, it is focused on performance and durability.
