Skoda India recently confirmed that the Octavia RS will be launched in the Indian market on October 17. Following the announcement, the Czech automaker has initiated the process of building up anticipation by releasing teasers of the performance-oriented car. This comes before the automaker begins taking the pre-bookings on October 6. Meanwhile, the deliveries are scheduled to start in November. Here are all the details of the car we know so far.

The 2025 Skoda Octavia RS will be brought to the Indian market via the CBU route and will be powered by a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine. This engine is tuned to deliver 216 hp and 370 Nm of maximum torque. The power is transmitted to the front wheels via a seven-speed DSG transmission. Based on the UK-spec version of the vehicle, the model will not feature Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) available in other regions.

Leveraging the power from the 2.0-litre engine, the vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.4 seconds. Additionally, the top speed is limited to 250 kmph. Justifying its RS suffix, the car is lowered by 15 mm compared to the standard version. To enhance its sporty character, the Czech manufacturer has fitted the vehicle with a different exhaust system than the regular model.

The car's sporty appearance is further highlighted by LED Matrix headlights and DRLs showcased in the teaser. It also gets 18-inch alloy wheels and more aggressive lines. Inside, it features sports seats, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and additional enhancements.

Upon its release, the Skoda Octavia RS is expected to be priced at approximately Rs 50 lakh. If it is priced within this range, it will compete directly with the Volkswagen Golf GTI. Similar to previous trends, its availability will be restricted, with only 100 units being offered in the Indian market.
