Skoda Auto India has recorded yet another sales milestone in the country with the Kylaq crossing 30,000 unit sales in just 8 months. The brand's entry-level SUV clocked a wholesale figure of 30,190 units between January and August 2025. Also, with the high sales surge, the Kylaq SUV has established itself as Skoda India's most important vehicle, accounting for 65 percent of its total sales.
One of the major reasons for the Kylaq's sales momentum is its competitive pricing. With a starting price of Rs 7.89 lakh, the prospective sub-compact SUV buyers got a new brand in the category known for its reliable and well-appreciated performance.
The Skoda Kylaq was followed by the Skoda Kushaq with sales of 7,212 units in the last eight months. Though the difference in the sales figures is quite large, the Kushaq has registered itself as the second-best-selling Skoda in the last eight months.
Talking about the specs, the Skoda Kylaq is powered by a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine, which works jointly with a 6-speed gearbox (MT and AT). It is capable of delivering a peak power and torque output of 115 hp and 178 Nm, respectively.
It has four major variants available in the Indian market, namely Classic, Signature, Signature Plus, and Prestige. The brand also offers seven color options for the Kylaq: Olive Gold, Lava Blue, Tornado Red, Carbon Steel, Brilliant Silver, Candy White, and Deep Pearl Black. The prices of the Skoda Kylaq start from Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most affordable SUV offered by the brand in the country.
