Maruti Suzuki once again led the charts, selling 1.61 lakh units in February. This figure was slightly higher than the same month last year, with a year-on-year growth of 0.13%. More importantly, the company commanded a massive 38.29% market share, reinforcing its dominance in the domestic market. The brand's wide portfolio, strong dealer network, and consistent updates to popular models like the Brezza and Swift continue to keep it ahead of rivals.

Tata Motors: Feb'26 Sales
Tata Motors followed in second place, recording 62,239 units sold. The company's SUV-heavy lineup, including the Nexon, Punch, and Harrier, has been instrumental in driving volumes. Tata's focus on design, safety, and electric vehicle expansion has helped it carve a strong position in the market. The Nexon, in particular, remains one of the best-selling compact SUVs, while the Punch continues to attract first-time buyers.
Mahindra: Feb'26 Sales
Mahindra claimed the third position in February 2026 with sales crossing 60,000 units. This marked a sharp improvement over the 50,420 units sold in the same month last year, translating into a healthy 19 pc year-on-year growth. The strong performance was driven by continued demand for SUVs like the Scorpio N and XUV700, which remain popular across urban and rural markets.

Hyundai Motors: Feb'26 Sales
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) achieved total sales of 66,134 units in February 2026, reporting a healthy year-on-year growth of 12.6 pc. The performance includes domestic sales of 52,407 units (+9.8 pc YoY) and export contribution of 13,727 units (+24.8 pc YoY). This is HMIL's highest-ever tally for total and domestic sales for the month of February since inception.

Toyota Kirloskar Motors: Feb'26 Sales
Toyota Kirloskar Motor reported strong sales growth in February 2026 compared to the same month last year. Domestic sales rose from 26,414 units in February 2025 to 30,737 units in February 2026, reflecting a 16 pc increase. Export volumes also grew significantly, climbing from 2,000 units to 3,297 units, a sharp 65 pc rise. Together, this brought total sales for the month to 34,034 units, up 20 pc year-on-year.
