Hero MotoCorp dispatched 5.98 lakh units in March 2026, marking a solid close to FY26 with overall volume growth of 10 per cent. The company, the world's largest two-wheeler maker, reported these figures amid robust demand across motorcycles and scooters.
Dispatches totalled 598,198 units last month, up from 549,604 units in March 2025, reflecting an 8.9 per cent year-on-year rise. Motorcycles led with 532,383 units, while scooters contributed 65,815 units, driven by double-digit growth in the internal combustion engine segment. Retail sales stayed strong too, with 542,436 VAHAN registrations showing 24 per cent growth, excluding Telangana data as of April 1.

For the full fiscal year, Hero MotoCorp achieved 6,468,834 dispatches, a 10 per cent increase over FY25's 5,899,187 units. Domestic volumes reached 6,066,048 units, up from 5,611,758, while exports hit a record 402,786 units, growing 40 per cent.

The 100-125cc motorcycle segment, bolstered by models like Glamour and Xtreme, fuelled much of this momentum, alongside improved rural sentiment from early festive demand.

Hero's electric arm, VIDA, hit new peaks with 21,434 VAHAN registrations in March, the highest monthly figure and 70 per cent month-on-month growth. FY26 dispatches for VIDA soared 154 per cent. The VIDA VX2 Plus KKR Limited Edition, tied to a Kolkata Knight Riders partnership, added buzz, while VIDA V2 and VX2 topped J.D. Power's 2026 India Two-Wheeler Initial Quality Study.
Exports jumped 16 per cent in March to 45,693 units, with premium motorcycles and scooters gaining traction abroad.
