Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) closed FY2025-26 on a steady note, reporting total sales of 63,69,504 units, registering a 9 per cent year-on-year growth over the previous financial year. The overall tally includes 57,49,275 units in domestic sales and 6,20,229 units in exports, highlighting balanced growth across both key markets.

The company also posted a strong performance in March 2026, with total sales reaching 5,49,145 units, marking a 29 per cent increase compared to the same month last year. Of this, 5,12,303 units came from the domestic market, while 36,842 units were exported.
Honda said the sustained momentum through the year was supported by healthy customer demand, improving market sentiment and the company's continued focus on strengthening its presence across important two-wheeler segments. A wide product portfolio spanning scooters, commuter motorcycles and premium offerings helped HMSI maintain steady traction through the financial year.

The company's performance was also backed by its strong retail and service network, which now spans over 7,000 touchpoints across India. This extensive reach continues to play an important role in improving accessibility, customer support and long-term ownership confidence in both urban and rural markets.

Apart from sales growth, HMSI also reiterated its focus on safety-led mobility solutions. The company said it remains aligned with its "Safety for Everyone" vision, which goes beyond riders to include pedestrians and the wider road ecosystem. Several of its products now come equipped with safety technologies such as ABS, CBS and rider-assist features, aimed at improving rider confidence and reducing risks on Indian roads.
