According to a study reported by the Daily Mail, Indonesia has emerged as the world's best destination for affordable luxury. The analysis, conducted by fashion brand AbayaButh, compared 30 popular honeymoon locations, factoring in:
- flight prices
- five-star hotel rates
- luxury resort availability
- spa quality
- access to private pools and villas
Luxury Without The Hefty Price Tag
Indonesia's islands topped the list thanks to their balance of affordability and extravagance. When it comes to accommodation, five-star hotels average 396 pounds (Rs 48,000) per night, compared to 937 pounds (Rs 1 lakh) in the Maldives and 537 pounds (Rs 65,000) in Bermuda. The Southeast Asian nation boasts 177 luxury resorts, 673 five-star spas and 538 hotels offering private pools.
Long-haul premium economy flights to Indonesia are also cheaper than those to similar destinations, which can cost three to four times more.
