Travel is said to broaden the mind and ignite new passions. For one Indian woman travelling to Armenia, a chance encounter with locals proved that music truly is a universal language. She shared a video on Instagram that captured Armenians' love for all things Bollywood. The text on the clip read, "You might not know Armenia, but Armenia knows you," while the video showed an Armenian local watching Raj Kapoor's 1970 film Mera Naam Joker on his laptop.
Further in the video, another native was heard singing the Hindi song Wah Wah Ramji from the film Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Bole Chudiyan from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham with the Indian woman. The clip also featured a man singing Arijit Singh's songs Tum Hi Ho and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil on the Armenian streets.
The side note read, "We love you back, Armenia. Credit where it's due - Bollywood put us on the global map first. From bustling streets to quiet corners of Armenia, Hindi music lives in every heart, young or old. That singer? Locals requested Bollywood songs to him and we were on cloud nine!"
