On the west facade, salvaged metal racks act as shading grills that allow climbing creepers to soften sunlight, while the verandah, built with reclaimed laterite blocks, nods to Kerala's traditional muttam. Diffused daylight enters through apertures softened by jute sack rolls, while natural ventilation helps release heat.
