Kollam:
Two persons were killed and one seriously injured when a cracker unit was gutted in fire in the district today, police said.
The victims were working in a shed of the unit in Malur, near Pathanapuram town, when it caught fire and exploded.
Local people said the unit had a pile of crackers meant to be supplied to a temple for festivals.
The injured was rushed to Taluk hospital at Punalur.
The age and whereabouts of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, as small cracker units in the area used to employ workers from Tamil Nadu, police said.
