Lawrence O'Donnell is the host of 'Last Word' on MSNBC
The host of MSNBC's 'Last Word' Lawrence O'Donnell has apologised after a footage leaked from the show's August 28 taping showed the anchor having a profanity-filled meltdown behind the scenes. Talk about having a bad day!
It starts with an issue with his earpiece while introducing a news package. The moment the report starts playing, the anchor goes on a tirade about his earpiece not functioning properly.
"Why don't I have sound? Alright it's back, someone is pressing buttons and turning the sound off. Who's asking for a Labour Day rundown in my ear?" he complains to his crew.
And then he loses it!
"Someone in that control room is out of control," he says frustratingly.
What follows is a foul-mouthed rant about his ear-piece and afterwards hammering sounds from the adjacent room. He even turns down a crew member who tries to replace his ear piece.
At one point, the yelling anchor stands up and threatens to stop the hammering himself.
The over 8-minute-long video has been leaked by media-watch website "
Mediaite" and since been reposted on several social media platforms.
The video contains strong language, viewer discretion is advisedAfter the leaked clip went viral, the anchor took to Twitter to apologise for his behind-the-scenes behaviour.
But Twitter, like always, saw the lighter side of things and made a mashup of the clip, inspired by MC Hammer.
