- A woman quit a Rs 50 lakh job to pursue content creation despite fear and doubts
- She faced skepticism from others and internal uncertainty about her new path
- Her transition had no fixed income or clear roadmap, relying on belief and effort
A woman who left a well-paying corporate job to pursue content creation has shared an honest account of her journey, highlighting the fear, uncertainty, and risks that came with the decision. Sanya Batra documented her experience in an Instagram reel, reflecting on the moment she chose to resign despite earning Rs 50 lakh per annum. Looking back at that turning point, Batra explained that the decision was far from easy. She felt intense fear and faced scepticism from those around her, many of whom questioned why she would walk away from a stable and lucrative career. At the same time, she was grappling with the same doubts internally, unsure whether her leap into content creation would succeed.
"The day I quit my ₹50 LPA job… I was terrified. Everyone around me thought I was making a huge mistake. ‘Why would you leave a stable, high-paying job?' ‘Content creation isn't a real career.' ‘What if it doesn't work?' And honestly… I had the same questions in my head," she shared on Instagram.
She noted that leaving her job also meant giving up a sense of security. Walking away from a role that appeared perfect on paper, with a strong salary, title, and stability, forced her to confront the possibility of failure and the idea of starting over from scratch. Despite these concerns, she said a persistent inner voice pushed her forward, urging her to explore a life that felt more aligned with her aspirations.
Batra acknowledged that the transition was challenging and lacked structure. She had no fixed income, no guarantees, and no clear roadmap. Starting over required her to rely on minimal resources, determination, and self-belief. "So I took the risk. I started again. From scratch. No guarantees. No fixed income. Just a phone, a dream, and a lot of belief," she added.
She also admitted that there were periods of doubt along the way. There were slow months when progress felt limited and moments when she questioned whether she had made the right choice. However, she continued to stay consistent by creating content, learning, experimenting, and improving over time.
Gradually, her efforts began to show results, helping her build a sustainable presence online and establish a new career. "Today I can proudly say, I made it as a content creator. Not because everything is perfect. But because I wake up excited about the life I'm building," she said.

She ended her message by encouraging others who may be facing difficult decisions, suggesting that the most intimidating choices can sometimes lead to the most fulfilling outcomes. She emphasised the importance of trusting oneself, especially when standing at a major crossroads. "If you're standing at the edge of a big decision right now…Maybe this is your sign to trust yourself a little more," she remarked.
The video has received widespread attention on Instagram, with many users praising her courage and relating to her experience. Several users described her story as inspiring, while others said her account of fear and hesitation resonated deeply, noting that many people never take such risks despite wanting to.
One user wrote, "When your mental load is reduced, there is nothing to fear, no dreadful Mondays...The mind opens its gates. Lots of ideas flow, and actions become a habit."
Another commented, "Leaving stability for something that doesn't guarantee anything. Not everybody can do that."
