Twitter has been finding hilarious explanations to describe the moment.

A tragic ending was averted at the Delhi Airport this morning when an IndiGo plane and a SpiceJet plane found themselves nose-to-nose on the runway and narrowly missed colliding. Pictures of the planes facing each other on the runaway, just feet apart, have been circulating online since. Most people are heaving a sigh of relief that the scary picture didn't get any scarier but Twitter never passes up an opportunity to joke.

According to reports, there was a miscommunication with the Air Traffic Control tower that resulted in both planes taxiing down the runway towards each other. It was the IndiGo pilot who noticed the other plane and applied his brakes, in the nick of time. No passengers were hurt.
