Mumbai: In a surprisingly swift move on the part of the Nehru Nagar police on late Tuesday night, a youth was arrested and his mobile seized barely hours after he had filmed a five-year-old girl in the nude.
The police swooped down on Maharashtra bakery after the girl's father filed a complaint stating that his daughter was stripped and filmed on a mobile phone camera by Arif Ansari (20), son of the bakery owner.
According to the police, the mother had sent her 5-year-old daughter to buy bread from the bakery owned by Ansari's father.
On reaching the bakery, Ansari invited her inside and closed the door where he undressed her and filmed her in the nude.
After 15 minutes he let her go home. When her mother asked her why she took so long to get bread, the girl narrated the incident. The woman informed her husband and he filed the complaint with the Nehru Nagar police.
The police have arrested Ansari for making a video as well as taking pictures of the girl when she was naked, and also added that Ansari did not molest the girl.
DCP Dilip Sawant said, "We are investigating the case and will produce him in Kurla court tomorrow."
