From Pantsuits To Pinstripes, Corpcore Is The Latest Fashion Trend To Take Boardroom Meetings To The Party
Your favourite Bollywood celebs can't get enough of this fashion trend

You might love it, but it is high time that you bid adieu to the viral Barbiecore trend that started upon the release of Barbie. Now with the arrival of 2024, newer trends are making their way. One such fashion spectacle that has dominated the Paris and Milan Fashion Weeks is the ‘corpcore trend'. The term corpcore is a relatively contemporary concept and refers to a trend that is both traditional and yet evolving. It pertains to a type of sartorial wear that emanates office-going vibes but bears a touch of feistiness. Although this craze is relatively new, Bollywood celebrities have long been following a similar fashion statement, either for film promotions or on the red carpet.

1. Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone sprinkles some Barbiecore magic to the corpcore trend and how. Look at the way she pulled off this hot-pink pantsuit featuring a lapel-collared blazer with padded shoulders, a matching bustier underneath, and a pair of flared trousers. A funky office wear indeed.

2. Sonam Kapoor

Living up to the name of a fashion maverick, Sonam Kapoor nailed the corpcore trend in a grey co-ord set from Junya Watanabe fashion label. An oversized blazer-like cape featuring billowy sleeves and a column skirt with a little front cut-out added a touch of chicness. A satin green corset bustier elevated her allure.

3. Katrina Kaif

Sprinkling some feminine energy to the corporate aka corpcore avatar, Katrina Kaif picked out an autumn-inspired pantsuit. The ensemble came with a tailored blazer and black flared trousers, doused with green leaves and pink floral patterns. A beige tank top underneath enhanced her glam quotient.

4. Keerthy Suresh

Following the corpcore trend through and through comes Keerthy Suresh in a bold red cropped double-breasted blazer and well-tailored matching trousers. The multi-coloured boho chic geometric designs on the padded shoulder sleeves in shades of blue, golden, white, orange, and black turned out to be the x-factor.

How To Style Corpcore Trend

Elevated Basics: If you want to ace the corpcore trend, you can't just put on any old shirt and pants. Cut-out necklines are the ideal option.

Texture and proportion: Corpcore may also include a neutral colour scheme. Although grey and blue are favourable, designers have chosen to combine different textures to keep these colour schemes from becoming drab.

Layering: Layering can make or break your look. To add dimension, layer oversized pieces, tuck them into boots, or use patterns to visually create dimension. You can accomplish the perfect corpcore style by wearing a suit with a subtle design.

Right accessory: Accessory pieces such as ties, structured purses, and kitten heels can enhance the corpcore aesthetic.
