Members of Karnataka State PoliceFamily Members' Association today staged a demonstration heredemanding stringent action against the advocates who recentlyassaulted police and mediapersons.
Over 100 members belonging to the Association shoutedslogans against the advocates as well as the state governmentand demanded that government handover probe to the CBIinstead of a judicial probe.
Addressing mediapersons, the members said at least 50police personnel were severely injured during the violence inthe city civil court premises on March 2 and even after aweek, government has failed to initiate action against theculprits.
They threatened to intensify their agitation if governmentfailed to bring the "guilty lawyers" to book.
