Jaipur:
Police have arrested five family members of the driver who had sped away in a van containing over Rs one crore here, and recovered around Rs 86 lakh from their possession.
However, the main accused Mohan Lal Jaiswal is still absconding and is being located, the police said.
"Jaiswal's wife, their daughter, son and two others were arrested from West Bengal, where they hail from. A Rajasthan police team nabbed them from their hometown," Deputy Commissioner Jaipur (South) Jose Mohan said.
The accused was employed with a private security firm and had driven away the van carrying around Rs 1.11 crore which were to be placed in different ATMs on Monday when the security guard and other employees of the firm had gone to deposit cash in an ATM.
However, the vehicle and around Rs 15 lakh were recovered the same day.
Jaiswal was residing with his family in a rented accommodation at Ajmer road here and had left the accommodation soon after the crime.
