Nitish Kumar won't be forgiven for breaking alliance with BJP, says Narendra Modi: highlights

New Delhi: Narendra Modi is addressing 1,500 BJP leaders and workers from across Bihar on telephone. The BJP's campaign chief is discussing the 2014 election strategy with them.

Here are the highlights of Mr Modi's address.
  • The relations between Bihar and Gujarat are very old. I even celebrated Bihar diwas in Surat and Ahmedabad.
  • I was born in a village with Buddhist connection
  • The first president Dr Rajendra Prasad was close to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who played a key role in his becoming the first President. 
  • We are made for each other (Bihar and Gujarat)
  • People are angry with Nitish for snapping alliance with BJP.
  • One district's model can't be replicated in another district
  • Everyone can learn from each other. Everyone has their ownstrengths
  • States should be allowed to made their own models, laws madein Delhi should not be foisted on us
  • In Gujarat every ordinary citizen believes the government is working towards their development
  • There are grievances of workers and other people which we try to address
  • I salute the people of Bihar. Look at IAS, IPS, 80 per cent are from Bihar. They have been endowed with intellectual prowess. They make the country proud
  • BJP workers in Bihar sacrificed a lot for the honour of the party
