The Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissionerate has implemented a massive security protocol across Noida and Greater Noida for 13 days, starting from August 23. Section 163 of the BNSS will remain in force covering the entire Gautam Buddh Nagar Commissionerate till September 4, in view of various festivals and the upcoming NEET PG examination.

During this period, five or more people will not be allowed to gather in public places without permission. Police permission will also be required for processions, protests and public demonstrations.

The decision has been taken in view of upcoming festivals, the NEET PG examination and the possibility of protests or demonstrations, according to an order issued by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Shaivya Goyal.

Several major festivals, including Eid-e-Milad, Rakshabandhan, and Janmashtami, fall during this period. The NEET PG 2026 examination will be held on August 30.

Loudspeaker And Religious Event Restrictions

Loudspeakers will not be permitted between 10 pm and 6 am till September 4.

Temples, mosques, gurdwaras and churches have been directed to ensure that loudspeaker sound remains confined to their premises, and the volume remains within prescribed limits.

Prayers, worship, processions or religious programmes cannot be held on public roads or in public places without permission.

No new religious practice will be allowed at places where such a tradition did not previously exist.

Actions that could hurt religious sentiments, insult religious scriptures, or involve putting up flags, posters or banners at religious places will also be prohibited.

Carrying or displaying lathis, sticks, swords, knives, tridents and other dangerous weapons will also be prohibited.

Special Rules For NEET PG 2026

A gathering of five or more people will not be allowed within 200 metres of examination centres ahead of the NEET PG 2026 examination, which will be held on August 30.

Photocopy/photostat machines will also not be allowed to operate within 200 metres of examination centres on the day before the exam and on the examination day.
