Tamil Nadu Registers 2,722 New COVID-19 Cases, Zero Deaths
Tamil Nadu recorded 2,722 new coronavirus infections, pushing the overall caseload to 34,96,321 on Friday.

There were no new casualties due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours and the toll remained unchanged at 38,028, a medical bulletin said.

As many as 2,413 people recuperated from the virus in the last 24 hours, aggregating to 34,39,606 leaving 18,687 active infections.

COVID-19 India News: Ladakh Reports 4 New Cases In 24 Hours
Four fresh Covid infections were reported in Ladakh in a day, taking the case tally in the Union territory to 28,543, officials said on Friday. All the new cases were reported from Leh.  So far, 228 people have died due to COVID-19 in Ladakh, of which 168 deaths were reported in Leh and 60 in Kargil, they said. The officials said there were 125 active cases in the Union Territory and all of them were in Leh. (PTI)

COVID-19 India News: 6 New Cases In Andamans
The COVID-19 tally of Andaman and Nicobar Islands rose to 10,218 on Friday as six more people tested positive for the infection, a health bulletin said. Four new patients have travel history, while two fresh infections were detected during contact tracing, it said. The Union territory now has 39 active cases. A total of 129 people have died due to the infection so far in the state.

COVID-19 India News: Assam Reports 273 New Cases, Highest In 5 Months
Assam recorded the highest single-day spike in COVID-19 cases in around five months as 273 more people tested positive for the infection in the last 24 hours, a health bulletin said. The state also recorded a fresh death due to coronavirus after several days. The highest number of fresh infections was reported from Kamrup Metropolitan district, which primarily comprises Guwahati city, with 100 new cases. The lone fatality was reported from Kamrup Metropolitan district, taking the overall death count to 6,640.  The state now has 1,138 active cases.

COVID-19 India News: Maharashtra's Thane Reports 267 New Cases, 3 Deaths
Thane district of Maharashtra has reported 267 new coronavirus positive cases, which raised its infection tally to 7,30,694, a health official said on Friday. With the addition of these cases on Thursday, there are now 3,088 active cases in the district, he said. Thane's death count rose by three to 11,912, while recovery count reached 7,15,429, the official added. (PTI)
