Bodh Gaya blasts: 'We need to learn from our mistakes,' says Nitish Kumar

Patna: After facing a lot of criticism from the opposition over the serial blasts in Bodh Gaya, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said "we all need to learn from our mistakes."

Following are the highlights of what he said:

  • The NIA team reached in the evening-investigation in progress. Whatever happened is strongly condemnable. We have to face this with unity
  • We are writing to the government on the issue of CISF
  • Not only the security outside the temple but also the security inside the temple premises be taken over
  • What inputs were received? All questions linked to these can be answered by the DGP and Home Secretary
  • Need to take it seriously, lessons should be learnt for future from such incidents
  • Nobody can claim that such incidents won't ever happen in country. 9 blasts happened, 3 were defused
  • On politicizing issue:
  • BJP and RJD ki ekta dikh rahi hain
  • So because of this everything has been exposed(BJP-RJD relation)
  • There are protests against me-who do you think is doing this
  • Both of them are together now
  • What happened, who was involved should all be left to the investigation team
  • But the culprits should be
  • Ulta chor kotwal ko daante. Hum kabhi bayan bahadur nahi the. (we never believed in lofty proclamations)
  • The govt is stable
  • My laksha are not these people|
  • it's not just talk behind closed doors(BJP-RJD relation)
  • Jo sarkaar main rahein usko zyada zabaan nahi chalna chahiye,  my work speaks for me and for the past sEVEN years it's been the same and I will continue to do so
  • Kuch log aasmaan se zyada jude hue hain
