New Delhi:

Actress Shraddha Kapoor, prepping for the release of Stree, a horror-comedy, told news agency PTI that she 'gets scared easily.' In the film, Shraddha apparently plays a ghost.' Without revealing much details about her role in Stree, Shraddha said, "People don't know whether I am Stree or not. There has to be a sense of mystery around my character, we made sure we maintain that. In horror films it is all about how well you built up the scare quotient, it is quite interesting. In real life, I get scared easily but I used to like watching Zee horror show. I also liked The Exorcism of Emily Rose and The Ring."

Stree, also starring Rajkummar Rao, is set in a small town Chanderi, where men disappear mysteriously. Chanderi is haunted by a ghost, whom the residents have never seen. Stree also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Aparshakti Khurrana.

Of working with Rajkummar Rao and Pankaj Tripathi, Shraddha told PTI, "To get the opportunity to work with them was a treat. I would actually be nervous but I would end up having so much fun with them. I have learnt so much just by observing them, it is amazing how they work."

"I was laughing so hard after hearing the narration. We are in a good time that only content-driven films are doing well," Shraddha added.

Stree releases on August 31.

Meanwhile, apart from Stree, Shraddha Kapoor has Batti Gul Meter Chalu with Shahid Kapoor up for release. The film also stars Yami Gautam and deals with the issue of power theft.
