- Babul Supriyo, Shaan's colleague from the playback industry, spoke glowingly about the singer's skills as a lyricist. According to a Times of India report, Babul Supriyo was heard gushing about the great job Shaan had done for his recently released album which features Shankar Mahadevan, Alka Yagnik, Shaan, Javed Ali, Neha Bhasin and Babul himself.
- At a party held in Mumbai, Babul Supriyo was heard saying, "The moment I heard the tune composed by this year's National Award winning composer Neel Dutt, it was only Shaan who came to my mind and as an 'ever-smiling friend' and I was sure he would never say no to my request. Shaan happily obliged and gave my song Shukriya, a complete new definition with his passionate yet simple words. He is already a super successful singer, I sincerely hope he starts writing more; I am sure he will earn great recognition for his abilities as a lyricist too".
- Shaan seems to be donning multiple hats and exploring newer horizons. Earlier, popular Punjabi singer Mika had declared that he would feature in a film titled Balwinder Singh Famous Ho Gaye, which will also star singer Shaan.
- Shaan and Mika shared the stage together in singing reality show Music Ka Maha Muqqabla in 2009. Mika said they would be seen on the big screen by the end of this year or early next year.
