It might seem that things are slowly going back to normal but the COVID-19 scare is very much there. New cases are being reported every day, and now actress Rituparna Sengupta has tested positive for coronavirus. She logged on to social media account to confirm this, assuring that she is doing fine now. Sengupta is quarantining in Singapore and is following all the protocols necessary for recovery. She said that her staff and her family members were safe.

In her Instagram caption, the actress wrote, "I have tested positive for COVID-19 but I want to inform you all that I am feeling fine. I am asymptomatic and following all the required protocols and precautions advised by my doctor and authorities. I am currently in Singapore and have quarantined myself at a recovery centre."

She added, "I request all of you to stay calm and safe. My family and staff are all safe. Thank you all for your concern and good wishes." Along with the caption, she posted one of her stunning pictures donning black. The fans and her friends wished her a speedy recovery in the comments section.

In terms of work, the National Award-winning actress is soon to work with Chandan Roy Sanyal in the upcoming film, Salt. The film is directed by Sunny Ray and is said to be an intense love story based on a relationship of a divorced couple. The film's shoot is scheduled to begin later this year.
