In the film, Shahid Kapoor will be seen portraying the role of Rani Padmavati's husband Raja Ratan Singh while Ranveer Singh will feature as historic ruler Alauddin Khilji.

On Wednesday, the makers of the film teased the fans with the logo poster of the film, which was captioned as, "Rani Padmavati padhaar ragi hai. Kal suryoday se pehle."

Padmavati marks Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's third collaboration with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali after Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani.

Padmavati also features Jim Sarbh and Aditi Rao Hydari in pivotal roles.

According to a report in DNA, major portions of Padmavati have been shot but a few action sequences are still left. "A lot of the shoot is still left. The major chunk may have been shot, but some big action sequences are still left. Ranveer's portions as the young Alauddin Khilji, too, remain to be shot," DNA quoted a source as saying.

Padmavati is scheduled to release in theatres on December 1.
