What's in the hamper this year, you ask? Well, the answer to the question that Ranveer Singh asked in the brand new trailer of Koffee With Karan 7 might not be out yet but the trailer looks hamper-worthy itself. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani co-stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh are Karan Johar's first guests on Koffee With Karan 7 - enough said. Karan Johar introduces the two actors as "two happily married people, just not to each other." Ranveer Singh's wife Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt's husband Ranbir Kapoor might be MIA from the Koffee couch this year. However, we can totally count on Alia and Ranveer for a fun-filled episode.
In the trailer, Alia Bhatt says that she and her Gully Boy co-star Ranveer as "sakhi" (friends). Expect Ranveer Singh being eccentric albeit super entertaining self and Alia being adorable as she is. In a segment of the show, Alia Bhatt is asked with whom she has a better "onscreen chemistry" - options in question - Ranveer Singh and Varun Dhawan. The jury is yet to be out on that but Ranveer Singh's reaction kinda gave it away.
Alia Bhatt, who once confessed on the show many seasons ago that she wishes to marry Ranbir Kapoor (now her husband), was asked, "One myth about marriage that got busted as soon as you tied the knot?" Alia's ROFL reply: "There is no such thing as a suhag raat. You are just tired."
Alia Bhatt also had an oopsie moment on the show when she was asked to talk about her marriage for 30 seconds. Alia, who misunderstood the question, thought she was supposed to talk about Karan Johar's wedding (if it happens). Karan Johar was quick to intervene. What followed was Alia bursting into a laughter and Ranveer Singh prompting: "Genius of the year."
Sharing the new trailer, Karan Johar wrote:" Alright everyone, brace yourself as Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt and I are ready to dish out some steaming cups of entertainment in the very first episode of this sizzling hot new season! of Hotstar Specials Koffee With Karan S7 Catch the first episode on 7th July only on Disney+Hotstar." He added the hashtags #HotstarSpecials and #KoffeeWithKaranOnHotstar.

The guests on the show this year will include Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan, Tiger Shroff, Janhvi Kapoor, Vijay Deverakonda and Kriti Sanon. Phew! The show will air on Disney+Hotstar on July 7.
