New Delhi: The team of Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, which was reportedly served a legal notice citing similarities to a Kannada film, has defended the film saying that the script for their movie was registered in 2008 at the Film Writers Association.

"Whatever has happened (getting the legal notice), that keeps happening in our films. Some (people) keep doing this to take advantage. Our film got the copyright in the Film Writers Association in 2008 and these people (makers of Kannada film) have made their film in 2013," Mustan of Abbas-Mustan director duo, told the reporters. Comedian Kapil Sharma, who is making his debut with the film in which he will be seen romancing four actresses, said that these kind of "allegations" come up during the release of any film.

"Even I have heard this news. However, I have not got the notice from anyone. But whenever there is a film, which is releasing, certain allegations sprout up. I do not know much about it," Kapil added.

Abbas-Mustan were also asked why did they wait till 2015 if the film's script was already registered in 2008. Mustan replied: "In 2008, we had not even met the writer. In 2008, he had just registered the script, but after that when we met and heard the story, we finalised it. But when we selected the script, we wanted to have the right actors in it."
