Judwaa 2 Celeb Review: Varun Dhawan Is 'Hero Level Max,' Tweet Stars

New Delhi: Judwaa 2, starring Varun Dhawan, Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez, finally releases in theatres today. Ahead of the movie's release, a special screening was hosted for the film fraternity on Thursday and celebrities can't stop praising Varun's performance in the film. Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Anupam Kher, Huma Qureshi, Riteish Deshmukh and Kriti Kharbanda extended their best wishes for 30-year-old actor on Twitter. In his tweet, filmmaker Karan Johar wrote that Varun Dhawan is the 'heartbeat of the film.' "@Varun_dvn sinks his teeth into Prem and Raja and completely nails this dhamaal entertainer," tweeted KJo. Alia Bhatt, who has co-starred with Varun in films like Student Of The Year, Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, reviewed Judwaa 2 as 'fun, entertaining, adorable and aptly nostalgic.'

Anupam Kher, who is the only member of the original cast of Judwaa to be part of Judwaa 2, said Varun Dhawan is in 'superb form' and urged the audience to go watch the film for him.

Varun Dhawan, who is overwhelmed by the response he received, thanked everyone individually on Twitter. "I genuinely hope I can make people laugh and smile and just enjoy. We need to learn to laugh on ourselves and not be scared of judgement," tweeted the actor.
 

Varun Dhawan also shared a picture featuring him with the original Judwaa star Salman Khan. "I'm not influenced from any Hollywood actor but influenced by @BeingSalmanKhan. Thank you for being my raja and prem. the film is yours now," he wrote.
 

Both the Judwaa films have been directed by Varun's father David Dhawan.

Judwaa, which released in 1997, starred Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Rambha in lead roles.

Salman Khan has a cameo in Judwaa 2.

The film also has the revamped versions of popular songs Tan Tan Tara and Oonchi Hai Building.

Judwaa 2 also stars Anupam Kher, Upasna Singh, Ali Asgar and Vivan Bhatena in pivotal roles.
